Dave needs a hand to finish off some new bits of track in preparation for the Waimate round of the Choc Fish series next month. The plan is to meet Dave at the Rosewood Forest gate on Centrewood Park Rd at 9:30am (click for map) on both the Saturday and Sunday to titivate the tracks as much as possible for the race and finish off some new bits. Dave will be on station on both days in the hope that if you can’t help Saturday, you might be able to on Sunday. Bring your own lunch if you plan on staying on into the afternoon. Bring a spade, grubber, rake etc if you have them. Bring your bike too if you would like to have a play afterwards.
For people coming from Timaru, car pool at the Wetlands Cafe (SH1 just before you leave Timaru) at 8:50am, leaving at 9.
Waimate local Dave Hanson is the contact, ph 027 243 8528.
We have only run one Choc Fish at Waimate so far, and it was great fun (in the rain too). The tracks have changed a little since then with storm damage meaning some of the tracks have moved, and new tracks have been built. Do your bit to turn the next Waimate Choc Fish race (and round 4 of the winter series) into another great little event!
