Choc Fish Mtb Race – Winter Series Race 1 – Raincliff Forest

Sunday 2nd June

Meeting at Raincliff Forest 9.30am to sign in (Look out for the “MTB Race” signs).

This Raincliff race will be reasonably demanding, and not suited to young kids. The tracks are rooty so can be slippery if wet, and care will be required. Fast guys will probably do 9 minute laps. Note that cell phone coverage in the forest is very limited.

Location:- Raincliff Forest. Start point will be from the skid site at the top of the forest (at Carpark Option A in the map). Look out for the “MTB Race” signs.
Options for parking at Raincliff:
1 – Skid site at end of 4wd track (where the race will start from). This is accessible in a road car as long as it has reasonable ground clearance
(no lowered cars with body kits).
2 – Skid site about 3/4 of the way up Middle Valley Road on the right, and then ride up the road to the start line.
3 – Normal carpark at the bottom, and then ride up the road to the start line which means you get a nice downhill run to finish.

The road is a public road and normal road rules apply. Please be very careful if you come up the road.

Race circuit is in purple
