Here are details for a club ride in Craigieburn Forest Park this weekend. I apologise for the short notice. It seems everyone is really busy at the moment! Craigieburn is really awesome, and we will plan to run this ride again next year for those that can't make it this weekend. This will be the last weekend away ride for the club this year, as December is normally a busy time for families.

Where:
Craigieburn Forest Park

When:
Sunday 27th November

Meet:
Timaru - SBS Stadium on Morgans Road at 7:45. Leaving 8:00.

Contact:
Darren Gelson, 021 234 8955

Weather (and legs) depending, we will look at doing Craigieburn or Hogs Back or both. The Cragieburn track will take us up the ski-field road, and descend again on sweet single track all the way down, crossing shingle screes and through native beech forest. If the weather is not good, we may look at Warfdale instead.

As always when in the outdoors, carry a rain coat and warm clothing. Make sure you have plenty of water and some real food to chew on.

There will be a few wasps.

See you there!

Mountain Biking North Otago designed another fantastic course with a good mix of fast flowing downhills, tight twisting uphills and the odd jump for those that were keen. The track used elements of the last race course but in reverse, and was a bit longer with some fast and fun downhill. The track was bone dry making for some fast lap times on the longer course. An overcast morning greeted the riders, making for good conditions to race in.

All competitors completed as many laps as they could in 30mins.

Here are details for our Chocolate Fish race at Cape Wanbrow in Oamaru, hosted by Mountain Biking North Otago. Cape Wanbrow is a really cool place to ride. It has a mixture of fast flowing trails and slow tricky technical rooty bits, with a few climbs. The tracks are a lot dryer than ours at the moment (they usually are), so they make a good variation year round.

This is a fantastic opportunity to explore the Cape, have a race, and have some fun too! Please come along and support this event and both the SC and NO Mountain Bike Clubs!

In case of bad weather - keep tabs on the website in case we have to cancel or postpone. The trees are vulnerable to strong winds.
