Our club has regular rides for members with dates and times continuously notified by email and here on our website. Below you  can see an outline of regular rides that occur, while one off events will also be notified as they come to hand.

Local Night Rides (thanks Wally)

It’s that time of the year again when you put away the bikini (that’s you Paul) and get the lights out for the winter.

Note: You need effective lighting suitable for riding offroad to participate in these rides, which utilise the tracks in the Scenic and beyond (the $10 single LED light probably won’t really do the job over rough terrain but if you are the adventurous type and are good at reading Braille with your front tyre, why not!)

Please be aware that this is not for racing each other but more for just going for a ride with a bunch, there is always the few that get carried away (Simon) but the majority of people stick together. There will be plenty of stops so we can bunch up again so don’t be scared to turn up and have fun.

This WILL IMPROVE your riding I guarantee!

Chocolate Fish Races/Rides

KELVIN, PAUL and SIMON are continuing the Chocolate Fish Race/Ride series (fitting in around other races and events) using various short-loop tracks in the Scenic Reserve (and elsewhere) which take around 3–6 minutes riding per lap. The Race/Rides last for 30 minutes. Each track has been different, and the response from the 25–35 participants who turn up has been very positive.

The Race/Rides are a great way to keep up some fitness, and practice those off-road riding skills. They are all about participation – you go as hard or as steady as you like.

Generally the following information applies, but you will be notified of changes of dates and track in the usual way.

• Meet at the BMX Track end of the Scenic (south side of the lake), look out for the MTB sign on the road side.
• Meet at 10:00am to sign in and ride a practice lap or two (note later meeting time as we move back into winter)
• Race Starts at 10.30am ………..30 min race
• There will be a kids race starting at 10.10am……10min race.
• Entry is $2.00, and all participants receive a Chocolate Fish!
