Round 5 (the final round) of the Choc Fish Summer Series is coming up in Timaru on Sunday 28th April. The race will be in Centennial Park, at the Claremont end of the reserve, so we will be using a new course not used for a Choc Fish previously. Lookout for the “MTB Race” signs.
There will be a total of 5 races, on the 4th Sunday of each month (not December). Points will be awarded for each race, and your 3 best races count towards your final score. This means you only have to complete 3 races to be eligible, or you can do all 5 and your best 3 results will count.
For current club members, entry will be $2, and non-members $5. Non-club members are welcome to take part in the races (so invite your friends!), but they will not be eligible for placings in the series unless they join the club. Remember that these races are not a serious affair and are supposed to be fun! Don’t be put off if you are not a speed demon.
After the race, we might do a little club ride to explore the other tracks in the area. This means that you can come along and watch the race if you want (you might get a job though 🙂 ), and then join in afterwards for a casual ride.
